REM Pipeline Consultants offers EPCM project management services. REM's latest international EPCM project in northern Afghanistan ended in late 2014 after three years of work with Afghan Gas Enterprise, the US Department of Defense, andTask Force for Business and Stability Operations .

REM as EPCM was responsible for overall project management of the Sheberghan-Mazar Pipeline Project.

The $100 MM multiphase project consisted of: a 12 inch gas pipeline refurbishment and rerate running 80 km from near Sheberghan to Mazar-I-Sharif, a 34 MMscfd gas compression system and TEG gas dehydration unit for the Khoja Gogordak gas field (see pictures at right), and a MDEA gas sweetening unit for the Yatimtaq gas field. (see pictures below)


REM engineers and sub-contracted personnel peformed the following activities: budget management, process design engineering, mechanical, civil, electrical design engineering, detailed design, design P&IDs and installation drawings, requisitions for procurement, logistics, managing local Afghan construction firms, operations manuals, start-up manuals, construction and operations training. Both facilities required electrical, fuel gas, water and other utilities.
